Donate
A donation, no matter how big or small, makes an impact. You can change how Scotland's most vulnerable people experience clinical care.
£35 – one Clowndoctor or Elderflower visit
£1,500 - a whole Day of Joy in hospital, school or care home
£60 / £120 – sponsor a clown of your choice, or a whole family!
£40,000 – fund an annual hospital or care home programme

What your support does
Restores a sense of self
Enables you to express feelings
Breaks down isolation and creates human connection
Creates a lasting benefit beyond the visit
Every year, over 150,000 children pass through Scotland’s children’s hospitals.
Only a fraction will see a Clowndoctor.
Most face fear, pain and uncertainty without the emotional support that helps them cope.
That is the gap you can close.
"Healthcare clowns have a unique role in health. They reach people in ways clinical interventions alone cannot.”
— Christopher Bailey, World Health Organization
No one wishes to imagine their loved one could face serious illness or dementia.
When those closest to you are vulnerable and dealing with fear, anxiety, confusion or sadness, our Clowndoctors and Elderflowers
are bringing comfort to them when they need it most.

Philanthropy
If you’re considering a more significant or transformative gift, we would welcome a conversation.
You might choose to:
- fund a specific part of our work
- support a hospital programme
- enable expansion to reach more children
Together, we can shape a gift unique to you, that makes the most of your generosity.
A major gift offers a more personal experience. We will provide clear, regular updates so you can see the impact of your support.
Donate
Through your salary
Give support directly through your pay. With Payroll Giving, it costs less to give more! Last year over 2 billion was donated to charity through Payroll Giving and the average monthly donation was £33.
To begin, first check with your employer to see if your company offers Payroll Giving. If they do, they will arrange everything for you. Once set up, your employer will deduct your donation automatically – you don’t need to do anything else.
If your employer does not currently have a Payroll Giving scheme, encourage them to set one up. Click here for a handy online resource to share with them.
We are registered with leading payroll giving providers. Find us by searching for Hearts & Minds Ltd, at:

Give in memory
Giving in memory of your loved one is very meaningful. A donation in memory allows you to remember someone special and directly support seriously ill children and the elderly living with dementia at the same time.
Leave a Gift in your Will
A legacy gift could make a difference not just today but every day for generations to come. It is thanks to supporters just like you that we have been able to bring joy and relieve pain and anxiety for seriously ill children and dementia patients for over 25 years.
